UNESCO recently published ‘The Migrant Workers Convention in Europe: Obstacles to the Ratification of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of all Migrant Workers and Members of their Families: EU/EEA Perspectives’, by Euan MacDonald and Ryszard Cholewinski. This report analyses the reasons behind the non-ratification of the International treaty. It presents the findings of detailed, UNESCO-commissioned reports into the status of the Convention in seven countries (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, the United Kingdom and Norway) and offers recommendations for future action to increase support for the ratification of the Convention
