This commentary joins discussion on labour mobility within the European Year of Workers´ Mobility. Among others it points out the problem of selective migration in former Eastern Germany, the interconnections between on one hand the low mobility of Czechs, social welfare system, dysfunctioning housing market and on the other the need for immigrants. Finally the author argues that intra-EU labour "mobility" cannot be artificially disentangled from labour "migration" originating out of the EU.
