The Interplay between the UK’s Migration Policies and the Practices of Romanian Migrants
This short commentary proposes a discussion on whether the restrictive policy of the United Kingdom in regards to access of Romanian and Bulgarian citizens to the UK labour market, once Bulgaria and Romania enter the EU, is effective. It argues that it will not stop migration but would rather produce more illegal migrants. The author presents voices of some Romanian migrants that have been in the UK.
