Report on Reception of Asylum Seekers in Central Europe
Information and Cooperation Forum of refugee assisting NGOs in Central Europe (ICF) including the Organization for Aid to Refugees released its final report on conditions of asylum seekers´ reception in Cetral European countries. The report summarises the visits of accommodation and detention centers in Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Austria and Slovakia. The results of the study are confronted with the EU Directive 2003/9/EC laying down minimum standards for the reception of asylum seekers. The study shows that in a number aspects the Directive has not been fully implemented in the national legislation of the selected countries.
