How Czechs see refugees
This research report presents and evaluates the results of a sociological survey among Czechs. In the first chapter, opinions recorded in the survey are juxtaposed with actual statistics regarding the burden that refugees represent for the Czech Republic’s resources. The second chapter classifies the respondents’ answers based on a typology of opinions about the Czech government’s policies toward refugees. The third chapter looks at the Czech public’s tolerance of refugees, while the fourth assesses the willingness on the part of respondents to actually help refugees. As a part of the survey, respondents were also asked whether they are aware of the existence of the UNHCR. Comprehensive tables featuring all the important figures are attached to the report.
