The comparative study aimed at providing a comparison of problematic provisions of Czech legal regulations and Czech practice in relation to foreigners with the corresponding provisions in the legal framework of selected European countries. The selective criterion was the existence of an element of discrimination in the individual Czech regulations. The comparative approach resulted in proposals of legislative changes within the areas covered by the individual chapters of the study: Employment and self-employment – Education – Healthcare and insurance – Social security – Goods and services – Political participation, involvement in public life and association in unions – Citizenship – Subsidiary forms of protection.
