The target group of the research is broken up into three subgroups: students of universities located in Plzeň, non-student immigrants and partners of Arabs from the majority population. The study’s primary output is the illumination of the target group’s situation. The greater part of the study examines the interaction of the target group with the majority population. Integrating processes are demonstrated through the formation of subcultures and interethnic relationships as well as using examples of conflicts in the coexistence of Arabs and the native population. The study was written as a thesis at the Department of Near East Anthropology of the University of Western Bohemia in Plzeň.
