Alter Ego is one of the seven flagship projects chosen by the European Commission to celebrate the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue. Alter Ego invites young people (14 - 18 years old) to explore different and varied identities in their local communities, by creating a 'dual portrait'. A 'dual portrait' is a self portrait alongside a portrait of a person from a different background and tradition. This can be presented in the form of a photograph, a video clip, or a short piece of music. Young people then post their 'dual portraits' onto a central website. This provides the opportunity to view portraits submitted by other young people, and to vote for favourites. (download here the pdf file for more details)
