Roundtable discussion: The system and practice of family reunification in Hungary and Europe
The Center for Independent Journalism organized the roundtable discussion on 6 June 2013 by the called “The system and practice of family reunification in Hungary and Europe”. The seminar focused on the migration for the purpose of family reunification of third country nationals in Hungary and also offered a comparative analysis with other member states of the European Union. Along with government, law and civil society experts, speaker from the migrant community also participated, stressing the need for more and clearer information in this area. After the presentations there was a discussion on specific issues raised by the audience.

The discussion was moderated by Ilona Moricz from the Center for Independent Journalism who also informed the participants of the event project Migration to the Center. The event was held at the House of the European Union, Budapest.
