Learn and move on

This educational project aims to empower young people and support them in getting active in their environment/community and to support partnerships and know-how exchange in the field of intercultural education and active citizenship.

The project takes place in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, which has the highest number of segregated schools. Since some of the cities are divided, the youth have few opportunities to meet each other physically. The project reacts to this situation by creating a space where youth can meet regardless of their ethnic (or otherwise diverse) backgrounds. At the same time it supports them – under the guidance of experienced peers/mentors – in creating their own community projects.

Last but not least, the youth will get an opportunity to map the city they live in and bring their ideas on how they would like to change it to local municipalities.

The duration: January 2017 – June 2018

Project coordinator: Lucie Bilderová, lucie.bilderova@mkc.cz
