Andrea Udrea analyses in her article recent situation of Ukrainians, who represent within the polish society the largest group of legal migrants, about 17%. To analyse the place Ukrainian migrants occupy in the Polish society, it si necessary distinguish between "old" and "new" Ukrainians, and between different types of migrants: petty traders, short-term residents, long-term residents and immigrants.
